SIFF Movie: The Space Invaders: In Search of Lost Time Screening w/Director Jeff Von Ward

In 1978, the arcade game Space Invaders sparked an obsession that grew into a video arcade boom that made billions of dollars, one quarter at a time. Only a few years later, the boom ended, and as arcades closed the early game consoles were converted, destroyed, or packed into warehouses and forgotten. Today, obsessive collectors across the country have lovingly restored these classic games and are playing them once more.

Co-presented by The Seattle Retro Gaming Expo, taking place July 13 & 14 at the Northwest Rooms in Seattle Center, and featuring panels, a full vendor hall, and a Freeplay Room fearing thousands of console games and complete collections of Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 games.
